This is the newest incarnation in the series of film festivals to come started as the One-Take Film Festival. This year you have 36 hours to make a movie from start to finish -- like the One-Take with a difference...
The One-Take, as it is named, is a contest where the contestants must film with no editing. Not so with the Final Cut variant. This film contest allows entrants to use whatever film editing methods or cameras that they have. The limiting factor is the time limit.
Like the One-Take, on Friday (October 26th) the requirements that must be included in the film entries are given out ( AT 9am). Saturday night (October 27th) the entries must be turned in completed to our staff. Our judging staff will view all of the films for the Sunday night (October 28th) showing at Thalian Hall.
A new batch of Professional Actors will be available to contact if you need some great acting to spice up your film. Contact them soon to see if they will be available as parts fill up quickly. Using a professional actor is not a requirement, just a recommendation.
There is only so much time to complete the project, so be ready for a race! |
